ABOUT

The idea of Music For The Mind emerged from our bedrooms during a global pandemic which quite literally snatched our developing careers, hopes, and ambitions from under us.

We quickly began to realise that we were just a few among many, and that others had experienced hardship and loss incomparable to anything we could ever imagine.

As the government guidelines slowly eased, we at Empathy and Stagewave began to feel a persistent, recurring urge to help others in this time of uncertainty and political unrest.

We are just a handful of young London-based musicians, but this crisis has given us a motive, a purpose: to improve the lives of others by doing what we love. We will be running 3 shows in 2021 featuring a whole host of excellent, hand selected, budding young artists and musicians.

We want to inspire you because if we can do it, you can do it.

"WE BELIEVE THAT THROUGH THE POWER OF MUSIC AND COLLABORATION WE CAN INSPIRE OTHERS"

OUR MISSION

  • We aim to raise at least £5,000 for the charities YoungMinds & Samaritans Central London.

  • We want to empower people to look after their own wellbeing, by connecting them to relevant charities and healthcare brands.

  • We will provide paid work for over 30 budding young artists, musicians, and freelancers, further preventing loss of careers within the arts.

Our Mission

OUR VISION

We believe that music is the medicine for the mind. We believe that music brings people together. Through this campaign, we want to inspire people to move forward, to give people hope about the future and to spread the energy that music can evoke.

The music industry has been greatly damaged by the global pandemic. With this project we hope that we can contribute our grain of sand to help musicians and artists thrive, so that they can continue shining their light into our lives, and make society flourish again.
